The American Red Cross has been called in to assist a family following a fast-moving blaze that was reported shortly before 5 a.m. on Green Street on Monday, March 18.
The fire - which was reported by the occupants of the home and neighbors - started on the front porch, investigators said, though the cause remains under investigation.
A crew of 45 firefighters from the Westminster Volunteer Fire Department and nearby agencies had the blaze under control within 20 minutes, according to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal.
It caused an estimated $150,000 in damage.
